# Image Generation

The **AI Generator** (`/generate`) turns a text prompt into artwork. You can use it to make character avatars, banners, backgrounds, or anything else for your world.

## How to generate

1. Open **AI Generator**.
2. Write a prompt describing the image.
3. Pick a **model**, **resolution**, and **aspect ratio**.
4. Adjust **high thinking** and **web search** if available.
5. Generate. The image appears in your history.

## Settings

- **Model** — several image models are available, each with its own style, quality tier, and price. Some require a subscription.
- **Resolution** — from quick **0.5K** up to detailed **4K** (per model; higher resolutions cost more).
- **Aspect ratio** — portrait, landscape, or square, depending on the model.
- **High thinking** — extra reasoning passes for a more faithful or detailed result (costs extra).
- **Web search** — lets the model reference web results when relevant (costs extra).

## Costs and credits

Every generation draws from your **credit balance**, scaled by model, resolution, and the extra options you enable. Check the estimated cost before generating and watch your remaining balance in the sidebar. If you run out, top up with overage credit or wait for your monthly reset.

> **Note**
>
> The exact cost is shown next to the generate button for your selected model and options.

## History

Generated images are saved to your **history** tab, so you can:

- View any past generation.
- Download it.
- Report a bad or policy-violating result.
- Delete it.

## What to make with it

- Character **avatars** and **left figures**
- Chat **backgrounds** and **banners**
- Profile images
- Anything your story needs — the image can be uploaded from your files wherever the app accepts an image.
